Save. Spend. Splurge.

What would be a difficult or uncomfortable look for you to try and achieve?

Anything involving:

  • Heels over 3.25” (yes specially that height)
  • Perfectly placed and posed items that only work on still-life mannequins who don’t breathe or move
  • An intricate outfit that takes a yogi to bend backwards to put on
  • Anything that requires a second pair of hands to help zip up (my son is still too short and not coordinated enough for this step yet)
  • Holding clutch purses or handle-top hand bags with a small child in tow
  • Anything revealing.. too revealing, especially showing off my stomach or chest. Legs are okay for me, not so bad in a mini skirt but the rest I feel weird about.

Hello, I’m a long time lurker who enjoys reading your posts. As to wearing certain items, I cannot tolerate heels above 2” though I am height challenged at 5’2”. I’m at the age where comfort and style must go together. If I’m being honest, my style has always been somewhat laid back and fuss free. I love minimalism (pared down with touches of avant-garde), but though I’m built like the desired runway model (v), my vertical challenges prohibit me from wearing voluminous clothes (especially tops). So, I keep it streamlined and simple with the occasional forays into color and interesting accessories.
