Are there any dressing rules you’d want to convey to other women?

Yes, just one:

Wear what you want to, you may be ahead of your style curve.

Do not feel like you need to wear dresses if you don’t want to.

Or leather leggings.

Or heels.

Or stuff that doesn’t make you feel happy, look beautiful and be comfortable.

Your style today, could be tomorrow’s style and you’re just ahead of time.

I remember being a young girl and wearing a belt across a sweater much like this outfit of mine (a favourite):
