Update: What’s happening to my @saverspender Instagram (August 2020)

Someone, or a bunch of people have reported my Instagram @saverspender as being in violation of Instagram rules, containing nudity, and sexual content which is prohibited.

I had gone to log in one day at around 15:00 and saw I wasn’t able to. I had to wait 24 hours for my account to be verified, and then I was informed that I was in violation of IG rules.

I sent in an appeal via their form, but as far as I know, it can take anywhere from a week to a month to re-activate, if they choose to do so.

Right now, I am sort of lost.

These past few days have been sort of depressing and stressful.

I worked really hard to build up a following up to 18.5K followers organically (literally didn’t spend a single penny, not even with giveaways), and now all my content could all be gone because of some petty, insecure trolls.

I worked hard. Really hard. I am currently at another handle @save.spend.splurge just doing updates, while I wait for an IG review to reinstate my account.

Frankly, I am tired. I’ve lost a lot of steam. I am not sure I want to post any more on IG if I don’t get this account back.

What’s the point if they can just have another set of trolls or the same ones, report my account in violation again? How long will this keep happening?

    I finally googled I’ve been searching everywhere so worried about why you’d disappeared!! That’s such rubbish I can’t believe people would do that. Can’t wait until you return I miss you!!

    So sad this happened, I really miss you in my stories. You are one of the few people who’s posts I always looked forward to seeing. It’s frankly ridiculous considering there are so many nasty and inappropriate accounts. You are sorely missed on Instagram and I’m glad I can still access your content on your blog.

      Thank you very much. I hope the account will be restored but it has almost been two weeks now. It could take up to a month. I would like to come back but… honestly, I feel like the blog would be a better outlet.

    I actually deleted IG from my phone today. Going to try to read books and mags instead. And blogs 🙂

    Also trying to motivate myself to build a newsletter. Try to reach out to people that way instead.
