3 Useful Purchases I Have Made Lately: Part 1
1. Pleated reusable zip tote
I recently came across this new Japanese invention of a reusable tote zip bag and it is seriously useful, far better than any other reusable bag I have ever used and here is why:
- There is an attached elastic loop to hold it together so you don’t need to use a separate band to do so and to keep it neat and tidy
- Comes with long enough handles that you could possibly use it as a backpack and not just a shoulder tote
- Zips up completely – not many reusable plastic tote bags have this functionality and you can put things in there and not be scared it will fall out
- Properly pleated so when you open and use it, you can easily pull the two ends together to snap it back with its pleats to be neat and tidy to be rolled up again; no more struggling to fold this slippery tote bag, it kind of folds itself
- Small and very easy to carry
- Holds A LOT
2. Rectangular plastic snap containers
Hear me out… there is nothing worse than having little bits and bobs and them not being properly corralled or organized.
I have tried many little organizing boxes and these little plastic rectangular cases that are meant for cotton swabs by far, are the most practical, easy to use, sturdy, durable and useful.
I use them to hold cotton swabs, interdental tooth brushes, tooth brush heads, earring backs and other small items so they are properly stored, won’t get squished, lost and can be easily seen in my bag.
I use them at home organizing ALL of my things, and I couldn’t be happier. They stack neatly, they are organized, and I can group them afterwards into little pouches or bags so it makes it easier for me to find things.
3. Rechargeable portable mini air pump vacuum bag sealer
I discovered that they had portable mini vacuum sealers you can carry with you (and recharge easily!!) and I immediately saw the possibilities of vacuum packing things I buy when abroad.
You can use ANY vacuum compress sealing bags with this little device as they all take standard vacuum-sized heads (I would assume), but just in case, these are the vacuum pack plastic sealing bags I got.
You know when you shop, and you don’t have laundry near by, or maybe it smells too strongly of perfume and you want to carry it but not smell it and bring it back home to wash before wearing it?
This is perfect. It is space-saving, practical, and keeps things dust-free, waterproof-ish (lol) and compact enough to stuff into your small carryon or backpack after a shopping spree. Obviously you can’t go insane with shopping and expect it all to squish down to nothing in your backpack, but it sure saves a lot of that spare air space…
Keep in mind however, the weight still applies, even if you remove the air…
