Week of Money: Where Little Bun has to find money in the street

DAY ONE

5:12 p.m. — We watch a Bluey episode and this happens…

Bluey: I found moneys!

Bandit: Correction you found MY money & I must have dropped it. *YOINK*

Bluey: Yeah but we found it!!!

Bandit: You have to work for money! Sorry.

Little Bun *outraged at the screen*: BUT I CAN’T EVEN WORK FOR MONEY. I have to find it on the street!!!!

OMG. CAN YOU IMAGINE.

I have to find it on the street lol …… but he has definitely been finding quarters and dimes throughout the day, and keeping an eye out for money has always been my thing, which I have apparently passed on to him as well.

DAY TWO

2:12 p.m. — These sort of things make me so incredibly sad.

I said it once, and I will say it again: Women should always have their money.

When you make a decision to be a stay at home parent, be very careful and sure of what you are giving up to be that parent. Have all of your financial ducks in order because you never know. You just simply never know.

DAY THREE

8:08 a.m. — ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can tell me that organic blackberries are not worth the money. They have actual flavour, sweetness and don’t taste like water.

DAY FOUR

10:45 a.m. — I found all of these interesting:

It’s true. Our rates renew every 5-10 years, so they get “updated” to the new rate when you get a new mortgage. I guess if you locked in low, this is great, but if you locked in at 17%, not so hot.

This one I can’t comment on. In Canada, we have leftovers taken home all the time, in fact, it’s something we do – I order extra so I can have lunch for the next day.

Yes – but it also depends on WHICH part of America, I’d like to add. Some places are not diverse at all.

DAY FIVE

8:08 a.m. — Well doesn’t this tug at your heart strings..Children are such innocents.

DAY SIX

8:12 p.m. — Little Bun and I play Clue, with Christmas music on. I particularly like the album by Pentatonix (acapella group), and their O Come All Ye Faithful is especially good. The beat is excellent, the whole song is stunning.

DAY SEVEN

6:25 p.m. — We play another game of Clue. He keeps winning because he is learning good strategies to figure out the clues. This time, we are dressed as our characters – I am Mrs. White so I have white on, and he is Miss Scarlet, so he wrapped some red around himself. It’s ridiculously adorable, and I cherish these wonderful moments with him. I hope he remembers this when he is older because I certainly will.
