In the world of Save. Spend. Splurge. where even in Toronto you have red tape to cut through.

O Canada indeed! This guy scoffed at the $60,000 city bill for some stairs and did it for $500 instead.

When your name sounds “foreign” this is how it affects the rest of your life.

I’m thinking I need to buy some more dry shampoo to make it through these tough years of having a full-time child, family, blog, and job. I don’t even care any more. I’ll do it.

This is what you’re doing wrong at work and you don’t even know it.

I feel like this Fresh Umbrian clay mask is actually working to drop my cystic acne bumps down to be flatter or at least (I know TMI) bring this to a head.

Also, you are screwing up your skin by doing these 9 things. I am guilty of at least 3 of them. Okay, 4 if I am being honest.

I rather like the Moroccan tile print style of this sheath dress.

These are the 3 things you’re getting wrong when you negotiate at work.

I can only really recommend bodycon dresses like this are VERY comfortable. Buy two or three sizes up so it isn’t so bodycon.

This is the open yet well-kept secret of all good travellers who don’t want to carry luggage up the wazoo. I do this and it is how I’ve never checked in a single suitcase in the past 10 years of traveling for business and pleasure and how I packed 2 months into one carry-on.

Love this dress. Still love it. I can’t believe the sun-dye style of this dress. It’s so pretty and with the gorgeous print that looks like a striped dress.

I admit to having stopped pumping milk for Baby Bun (he was a lazy latcher who refused direct milk) when I started working because of the awkwardness of doing so at the workplace, so I can’t imagine “whipping out a breast to feed my baby while at work“! I’m amazed and in a good way, slightly horrified about what people might think of me (and my body) if I did so. I love that this opens the discussion. They’re just eating, poor little things.

I watched Storks on Amazon Video last weekend and loved it. I can’t wait to watch it with Baby Bun.

THANKS FOR THE LINK LOVE

Capsule wardrobes are big right now. Like HUGE. So I love that Monica took the time to list out her limited navy & brown wardrobe for any of you budding minimalists out there (count me out in the realm of clothes..)

The Budgeting Tool

About Me

I am a wealth-obsessed, style-focused, minimalist.

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months with The Budgeting Tool which I now sell online and donate its net proceeds to charity, along with The Investing Tool.

I've also authored two books: Start a Blog Like a Boss - Making $1000 USD a month & Invest your Money Like a Boss - In 4 Hours a Year.

I earn like a princess when I work but am trying hard to live like a duchess instead by not spending all of it.

The rest of the time I relax and enjoy the time off by traveling, although traveling has been on hold lately with the arrival of Little Bun, my rambunctious, ever-hungry little boy.

Welcome.
