I am almost done my last pack of paper-stick cotton swabs, and when I do, I’ll be buying these reusable ones. Yes. REUSABLE swabs. If that isn’t your thing, there are bamboo swabs which are much better than paper (paper is what causes deforestation in places like the Amazon because of our thirst for paper products).

Are you an Introvert, Extrovert or Ambivert? I am definitely an Ambivert based on this quiz I took. People think I am an Extrovert when we first meet, but I do have moments where I need to be alone to recharge. I cannot be around too many people all the time, all day long, it saps my energy.

I also really hate crowds (not sure if this is an Introverted thing), and I do not like a lot of loud noises, or hustle and bustle. I don’t mind it in small doses, but then I also need time to shut down.

I am not certain why more women don’t use menstrual cups instead of pads and tampons. Even those without money, you would do better to buy this eco-friendly alternative, and just empty the refuse into the toilet rather than throwing out something each time. It takes a little getting used to, but I NEVER worried about leaks when I wore one. They were so incredibly trustworthy versus the tampons and pads I had used before, I never had a single accident.

I loved it when Adina brought up the idea of Style Avatars, and her photos are exactly the kind of styles I like to dress in (less so on the Artsy / Bohemian side, but I do have my days).

I do find myself gravitating away from very bright feminine 1950s styles (you know, the puffed out skirt and tight bodice), to stuff that is more Céline when Phoebe Philo was designing. A little androgynous, but still feminine with belts, etc. Less emphasis on the frills and ruffles for the feminine element however. I still, and have always preferred an unruffled shirt to one with frills and peplums.

Consider reusable bamboo plates for your next outing please, instead of paper or plastic. If people at the office are not willing to bring their own plates and cutlery in, these are the next best thing. I don’t know why we don’t use bamboo more often in place of paper. It grows so fast, and is very renewable versus paper, plus these products are everywhere.
