In the world of Save. Spend. Splurge.: Nearly half of all Canadians expect an inheritance

Why the costumes in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel are incredible – they are all custom made and incredible… I sort of want everything Midge wears because it is just so rich and beautiful. I have always liked retro outfits, but I know you have to be squeezed into a corset to wear it properly because her waist is SO DANG TINY. Her mother also has gorgeous outfits I completely covet beyond belief. I wish I could buy some of these items, to be honest.

My partner recently picked up this beautiful, elegant Vietnamese coffee drip device that is super minimalist and easy to use.

Nearly half of all Canadians expect an inheritance. I expect zero and I will teach Little Bun to expect zero from us so that he generates his own wealth and if he gets something (likely), then YAY! But I will not be a burden on him. Thank you to reader Josefa!

I am now trying out the entire range of Princess brand mascaras, and I rather like this one (they’re all around the same price range), and easy to use.

I came across the Nest Seekers video – Inside The World’s Multi-Million Dollar Homes and it is quite eye-opening.

I never looked at Amazon for jewellery but they have really stepped up in the past year or so – this under $20 Panacea necklace is exactly something I am into these days.

Sherry of Save. Spend. Splurge.

Millionaire at 36 after getting out of $60K of student debt in 18 months, a little over a decade earlier, using TheBudgetingTool.com. Since then, I have paid my $600K home in cash (my half was $300K), my $180K casr in cash, worked 50% of my career (taking 1-2 year breaks), and quadrupled my income within 2 years of graduating, going from $65K to $260K with an average lifetime savings rate of 50%. I could retire today if I wanted, but love my work-life balance as a freelancing consultant in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). I am all about balance - between time and money, and also enjoying my money. I also post daily on Instagram @saverspender.
