Have you ever successfully given someone a present of jewelry or clothing that you continue to feel good about?

Yes.

I saw this Sandro dream splatter print shirt in the store of this wild multi-colour print in cartoon splotch dots, and I KNEW my mother would love it, with her artsy nature, peeking out of her sweaters and just making her cushily enveloped in a splatter of bright, happy, rainbow colours:

I gave it to her and she loved it, but wanted to know what it cost to make sure it wasn’t too much.

I refused to tell her but I’ll tell you — it was $250 before taxes.

To this day, it makes me happy knowing she loved it. I just hope she proudly wears it a lot, and doesn’t think about the price!

Did anyone ever say anything to you that made you look at yourself differently?

Do you remember the first time you were conscious of what you were wearing?

Is there an article of clothing or something you wear or carry daily?

Alas no, I suck at gifting clothes or jewelry. I am way better at the practical life gift. PiC, however, has successfully picked out quite a few winners for me 😀

I love it when people get stuff that is a major win 🙂 I am great at gifting things but prefer useful items if possible

The Budgeting Tool

About Me

I am a wealth-obsessed, style-focused, minimalist.

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months with The Budgeting Tool which I now sell online and donate its net proceeds to charity, along with The Investing Tool.

I've also authored two books: Start a Blog Like a Boss - Making $1000 USD a month & Invest your Money Like a Boss - In 4 Hours a Year.

I earn like a princess when I work but am trying hard to live like a duchess instead by not spending all of it.

The rest of the time I relax and enjoy the time off by traveling, although traveling has been on hold lately with the arrival of Little Bun, my rambunctious, ever-hungry little boy.

Welcome.
