Ask Sherry: Where would I live if it wasn’t Quebec?

You asked, and I am answering every Friday once I have enough questions!

Where would I live if not here?

If money was not an object, if I didn’t have to work (not that I wouldn’t want to, but that it was not necessary), I’d say any of these places sound like nice places to settle down for a little bit to see what it’s like:

  • Paris
  • Hong Kong
  • San Francisco
  • San Diego (basically California)

What is your #1 favourite skincare product?

Hands down, the O.R.G. Mineral exfoliator… I buy the Body one because it is cheaper per ounce.

I use it, it’s gentle, I always remove all the dead skin gently without rubbing or burning my skin and it has changed my skin texture.

Still have a burning question?

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months using TheBudgetingTool.com. Since then, I have worked 50% of my career (taking 1-2 year breaks), and quadrupled my income within 2 years of graduating, going from $65K to $260K (savings rate = 85%). I could retire today if I wanted, but love my work-life balance as a freelancing consultant in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). I also post daily on Instagram @saverspender.

I’m from San Francisco (the city proper, not the suburbs) so ask away if you have questions. : )

I’d live in Paris too – and San Fran, but also NYC, but i’d want the good life, with all the perks and drivers!!

Do you ever work out if you didn’t have a child, how much further your money might have gone – ie outlandish dreams like living in Paris seem more realistically possible as a single, than as a couple or even with a child, when I imagine.

Oh yeah, all the persk for sure.

You know, I worked out how much Little Bun costs me.. and it is about $10,000 – $15,000 a year with daycare. Once he is in school maybe less? I have no idea for now, but for sure I’d be about $200,000 richer 🙂
