WHAT LITTLE BUN READ

  • Magic Treehouse – We are starting the series! So far, he loves them because they’re “adventure books”
  • Dory Fantasmagory – He finished the series
  • Harry Potter – He is just starting on book one!!! *hearts in eyes*
  • Zero G – We have been listening to this audiobook and it is quite good, to be honest. I am caught up in the story, myself.

BILLIONAIRE’S VINEGAR

[ WINE, MYSTERY, FOOD, SCAM ]

An interesting read into how rich people get scammed. Frankly, it was a bit dry and slow for my liking, but I enjoyed it anyway. I find it incredible what people will believe when they want to believe.

CROWBONES

[ THRILLER, FANTASY, MYSTERY, OTHERS, ELEMENTALS ]

This is a fantastic author. She never, ever disappoints. It has been so long (3 years!) since her last book that when this came out, I dropped everything and devoured it. It was such a great step back into reading again as I have been losing my love of it, being drained of all motivation from what has been going on at work.

THE GOLDEN COUPLE

[ THRILLER, DRAMA, MYSTERY, HORROR ]

Here is another set of authors (Hendricks and Pekkanen) who never ever disappoint either. This book was a twist right until the end. SO WELL DONE. It took me on a ride and it made me keep turning the page until the end (which was also surprising).

VERITY

[ THRILLER, DRAMA, MYSTERY, HORROR ]

What a dark book. Just like with The Golden Couple, I think I have found another author who has made it her mission to really get into my brain. The ending was so unexpected, I won’t give it away, but wow, it made me want to read ALL OF HER OTHER BOOKS.

MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME

[ SHORT STORIES, CHRISTMAS, CHICK-LIT, LOVE, FICTION ]

Not at all what I expected, but I enjoyed it all the same. It isn’t a fleshed out story, but like a snippet in time of the story, and you can come up with the happy ending on your own. I thoroughly enjoyed it, a lot more than what I thought I would. Some of the stories, I will admit, made me cry. Luckily, I am reading it out of season, so I didn’t bawl as much.

SECRET KEEPER OF JAIPUR

[ FICTION, ADVENTURE, FAMILY ]

I read this out of order. I hate that. It’s book 2 in a series, and that irks me because I wish I had checked up on it and read book 1 first. Anyway, no big deal, I still managed to follow the story even if I was missing a lot of referenced context. I enjoyed it a lot, it’s more about family, desires, culture and understanding, than anything else. The setting is so vivid and vibrant, I felt like I was there.

IN A HOLIDAZE

[ CHICK-LIT, GROUNDHOG DAY, FICTION, FAMILY, LOVE ]

I really enjoyed this book. Best read maybe around Christmas, because it’s so holiday-themed. It was a cool way of looking at how you could relive a day over and over again (I am not giving away too much I hope), and the different choices you could make if you could do it.

LETHAL SEDUCTION

[ CHICK-LIT, 70S, DRAMATIC ]

All of her books are basically rehashes of her original series starring Lucky, but that doesn’t stop me from reading them. They’re good trash-lit escapes, and while the scenes or characters might seem extremely dramatic or out of touch, I feel like this is real life for many. It may not be 90% of the population like this, but there exists a strain, that lives just like this.
