In the world of Save. Spend. Splurge.: Where your donations really go..& how to ask for a raise
1. HARD TRUTH ABOUT DONATIONS
Wonder where your clothes really go? Here’s an article on it. Long story short, if you don’t think you can resell it on Poshmark (use code SHERRYISH for a credit), perhaps think twice about buying it.
What you are donating, in what condition, WHEN.. all of this stuff matters. No one wants your ugly, junky crap, even secondhand. They / We (I am in this group!) still want to buy nice items to give them a second life.
You can also read this super dead honest Reddit thread about where clothes end up on ThredUp.
2. PINK SLIP
.. No literally. This pink slip is gorgeous. I’d size up so it would hang comfortably.
3. YUMMMM..
Easy, healthy, quick meals. I already do the salmon one but I’d love to try the others, like the miso radishes.
4. CONSENT FOR KIDS
If you buy any book for any young child, this one about consent, is very good. Easy to read, fun comics, easy to understand. Little Bun reads it often on his own, then talks to me about it.
5. RISING UP
How much should you ask for a raise, and how? A guide for you.
6. AT-HOME MASSEUSE
As in.. when I use this device I got, my shoulders and neck have never felt better. When I feel tense or stressed, I run this once or twice in a row, and let it crunch out my muscles.
