How do you like the new redesign?
$$$ and $$$ of $$$$ later, this is what I have come up with — a sleeker, nicer version of my old site.
I’ve tried to make it more minimalist & cleaner so sidebars are gone for the most part so that I can put bigger images on the post.
TWEET ANY OF MY WORDS
Highlight anything you want to tweet and a button will appear:
BEST POSTS PAGE IS WAY MORE ORGANIZED
You will now see major categories in this Best Posts page in a list you can click on.
In each major category, you will see subcategories underneath:
Once you filter down within the major categories to subcategories, you will see ONLY those posts in that subcategory!
GO BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN POSTS EASILY
I have Previous & Next posts you can click on at the bottom of every post
MENU BAR IS ALL FLOATY LIKE
I love this new floating menu bar that will follow you as you go down the page:

The design looks really nice and clean, but from what I see it’s not responsive. This is a pretty huge issue both with your users and Google, who’s now favoring responsive web sites more.

Very nice–definitely much easier to navigate and finding older posts. Thank you for spending time and $ doing the upgrades.

Constructive criticism: Haven’t visited on mobile, but on desktop the width looks weird. Lots of white space on either side in the middle of the page, stuff at the bottom of the page (right above the footer) going right to the edges.
Font size is too small.
Homepage is an improvement, I kinda hated that old carousel.
Ugh, I really want/need a redesign but just don’t even know where to staRt!

I like it! It’s much cleaner. I found the home page a little cumbersome on the previous version. The rotating posts at the top of the page was slow to respond depending on which computer I was reading from.

The new design is neat but I agree with the others that text is difficult to read, even on a 15 inch screen. Also, I liked the blogroll in your previous layout. Is that a feature in the new design, I cant seem to find it.

Agreed – while the design is nice and spare, it’s very tough to read the regular text. It shows as faint and quite small.

I agree with the comments posted. I love the clean look, but text size is far too small.

So I think it looks fine overall, but your text is TINY! I have to increase the font two sizes (Ctrl+ +) for it to be readable.

Very nice, but text shows up very very small on my computer–I have to expand the page to read it!

I like it! Much cleaner version for better reading. I like lots of white space, it makes for a much better reading experience. And yay for the clear back and forth button 🙂 was missing that.
