With whom do you talk about clothes?

Every woman in my life, even passing ones.

At one point or another, with women, I always end up talking about clothing, shopping, and style sooner or later, at least once.

I talk about what I bought, why I like certain things (or not), whether or not I think they look fantastic (even strangers), their purses I admire, or shoes on the street….

Some longer & more than others, but as evidenced by this blog, I just put my thoughts out there and see where it goes.

I love talking about clothes and style, so it is very VERY relaxing for me to chat with women about clothes and style in an intelligent, or just a fun-loving, shopping fashion, you know, stuff like.. “OH! I like that!”. …

What about the men in your life, or your partner?

I ask because I talk to my brother, mostly. He works in the fashion industry, has great style (and an even better eye for what looks good on others) and is brutally honest. Actually, my good friend wants him to go shopping with her for a new wardrobe when she reaches her goal weight 😛

Like you, I enjoy talking to women about clothes (and read their blogs :)) but I also find value in talking to men because they can offer such a different perspective.

I discovered your blog through your post about your Cuyana wrap coat – such a beautiful coat. I’m thinking of getting it and your review was really helpful – thanks for sharing/writing it!

I hope you get that Cuyana coat, I will say that if you have any more questions, let me know. I don’t find it soft and luxurious like a camelhair or an alpaca coat, but it is thick, holds its shape well and very nice 🙂

As for talking to men, I don’t have anyone who is into fashion who are men. No one around me except for myself or women are into clothes. The only time I have ever asked my partner “how does this look”, he has just wrinkled his nose a few times. He also clamped his mouth shut seeing my leather leggings for the first time but has gotten used to me trying things…
