What item of clothing are you (or have you forever been) on the hunt for?
The perfect shirtdress in white, the perfect blue and white stripe and the right shade of khaki green (not too olive / yellow, and not too blue and foresty) with interesting details like a hidden belt loop, or a curved shirttail hem, or cuffs and collars.
It is surprisingly hard to find a piece like this.
The perfect pair of high-rise cargo leggings that are not too legging-like but not too stiff like trousers in the right shade of khaki green (not too olive / yellow, and not too blue and foresty).
Again, this colour combo and this perfect type of pants in a HIGH RISE is hard to find without it looking cheap or having way too many details.
The perfect banker’s shirt that is fitted to my body, and to my shoulders, with the right height of white for the cuffs and collar, the proper spacing for the stripes and the not too light nor dark shade of blue with white.
I have purchased so many cheap and sometimes expensive substitutes of the above in an attempt to have the perfect item that I can’t even begin to count how much money and time I’ve wasted.
I actually have in my head, the exact, actual look of what I want to achieve. I just need designers to get on board and create it, because while it might seem trite to make something so simple and boring, it is VERY HARD to find beautiful neutrals and basics that drape beautifully, aren’t in polyester, are in the right colours and shades, and fit like a dream.

Oh god we are asking for the moon here aren’t we?
For black slacks, I have been SERIOUSLY eying the MM Lafleur Foster Pant pants. SERIOUSLY EYING.
Oshima Pant: Higher rise, black, cropped (so not ankle height), not shiny, no lint, no pleats…AND IT IS MACHINE WASHABLE
The Foster pant is all of the above but ankle height instead of cropped.Only problem is price tag. 🙁

I love all of their pants. The price is higher than my budget, but I’d ask for a pair as a gift from my husband.

For the shirt at least, might it be worth it to get something made? Even in North America but particularly if you are ever heading to Hong Kong again.

I want a banker’s shirt too! My problem is it being fitted to my body but still curving around my bust. No matter the size or brand, but the end of the day the shirt seems to be pulling at the widest part of my bust.
I also want black slacks – ankle height, smooth not shiny fabric, doesn’t attract lint, taper leg, no pleats, not dry clean only (that may be asking too much) and hold their color beyond one month.
