What I bought: The End of Summer 2019 Edition – The Bottoms & Dresses

A lot of these amazing deals were from Poshmark Canada, to be honest with you.

A lot of what I got is from Poshmark Canada (they are live now, use code SHERRYISH for a $15 credit to shop with), and the items are SO MUCH cheaper than in a consignment shop for the most part, but you have to sort of dig through tons of listings to find treasures.

I wrote a whole review on Poshmark Canada here.

BOTTOMS

[ Poshmark Canada ] Zara Midi Faux Leather Skirt – $14

I saw Adina wearing it, and I have been looking for a leather skirt for a long time but not willing to spend a ton of money on one.

The vegan leather is a little rubbery feeling but nothing I cannot handle. It is more of an autumn/winter skirt rather than it being spring-y.

I like the way it fits (pretty snug but I am not unable to eat)..

[ Poshmark Canada ] Frame Le High Skinny Jeans – $50

These jeans are so soft, comfortable and thick. Much thicker than anything I have ever tried on in designer jeans.

I love the heavy distressing (much more than anything I have ever worn or tried), and it just looks great.

They fit great, and I wear them pretty often.

[ Consignment ] Erdem dress but made it into a skirt – $175

It was a dress that WOULD NOT ZIP even if I lost 20 pounds, but the skirt fit (albeit a bit tight but it fit well), and I took it to a tailor to turn it into a pencil skirt instead of a dress.

I’d get more versatility out of a skirt as well, versus a dress.. as the dress was quite fancy up top.

I am a bit sad I won’t be able to maybe re-sell the top in another cool de-constructed crop-top way, but we will see.

[ Retail ] Ted Baker Mitty Khaki Tie High-waist Shorts – $122

And this is the price at 50% off at retail O_o

I would normally only really pay $50 max for a pair of shorts, but it is so difficult for me to find these things:

  • High-waisted but doesn’t look stupid
  • Not tight, but fitted
  • More like a miniskirt look than shorts
  • Interesting detail

So when I saw these khaki, safari-inspired sort of floaty shorts that had substantial weight to the fabric, deep pockets, high-waisted, AND a tie? I was sold. I was pretty much in shorts heaven.

Now this brings up my shorts count to 2. Yes. 2 pairs. My 1 romper does not count.

[ Poshmark Canada ] Kit and Ace Olive Khaki Safari Skirt – $23

Khaki green? Safari style? REVERSIBLE to have the slit in front or the back with pockets?

Sign me up.

This is my first time with the brand Kit & Ace, and I have heard such good things about them.

DRESSES

This one-of-a-kind purple flower printed sari wrap dress – $100

I MEAN. How could you NOT buy it when you wear it and feel like a flowy goddess in it?

Then you find out this print is unique because it is made from recycled saris that are not longer wanted or used?

WHAT!?

Gorgeous. I love the deep purple, the gorgeous watery flowers in blues and pinks.. these are all of MY colours, and in a dress as pretty as this, yeah I had to buy it.
