I love watching these videos. Have you seen The Secret Life of Haute Couture? (I think that is what it is called). I really enjoyed watching it that. It goes for about an hour. I think you might be able to find it on youtube.

In that first video you really don’t get the feel for the attention to detail until you see the seamstress counting the individual rows in the fabric to make sure the placement of the seam is correct. If even a fraction of that level of detail was applied to clothing now, it wouldn’t fall apart the way much of it does. Brands would also take better care when choosing fabrics to work with. Who on earth would count rows on a flimsy polyester that will fall apart after two washes? No one.
