Style Shopper: SKHOOP Mina Midi Down Skirt Zippered Review

STYLE SHOPPER

You can read all of my clothing reviews here under Style Shopper.

MY BODY TYPE & SHOPPING PREFERENCES

I am normally a US 4 on bottoms (designer US 4, Banana Republic 2).

I’m an inverted triangle and normally wear an Small or 2 (smallest sizes in all mainstream brands except for designer brands where I usually take a US 4.

I am also 5’6″ and fairly slim overall. Small busted (A cup).

I will say for my shoulders I ALWAYS take a US 6 in designer brands, or a US 4 in Banana Republic for instance, because my shoulders are large and my body is slim.

I am super picky and hate itchy items, too-tight things and anything that doesn’t look or feel expensive and wonderful.

$9 is $90 is $900.

The price makes no difference to me.

One of SKHOOP’s best-selling skirts!

This is a versatile skirt for all heights of women, hitting between the knees and ankles.

The Mina Mid Down Skirt is slightly longer in the back, protecting you from the wind while providing a classic silhouette.  The skirt’s “mid” length is stylish enough for the city and comfortable enough for the mountains.

DRESSING ROOM FIT & REVIEW

Size Taken

Small

WHY I BOUGHT IT

My thighs are the ONLY THINGS freezing when I am outside.

My entire body and arms, and the boots I wear are perfectly fine and warm in any weather, but my thighs are cold. ONLY my thighs or my legs in high wind or cold weather.

I thought about a down skirt and didn’t know if it existed but LO AND BEHOLD IT DOES and it is made by a brand called Skhoop.. they even have mini skirts and other cute options to wear as-is with tights!

So I bit the bullet, spent about $200 and gave it a shot to have something for winter to wear UNDERNEATH my winter jacket or.. just by itself with some tights and boots. It’s kind of cute as-is.

QUALITY 5/5

Fantastic. Love the zippers, the down, the long midi length…

FIT / CUT 5/5

Midi length, a little loose, not too tight. It’s perfect.

SIZING 5/5

I took the size Small and it was perfect. I can wear it over my clothes or as-is with some tights.

COLOUR 5/5

I took “Methyl Blue” which looked like cobalt blue and it is exactly as pictured and what I wanted.

ZIPPERED POCKETS!

You can even adjust the bottom if you want to walk comfortably without it hobbling your legs:

Zippers on both sides!

A great back, long length..

The zipper on the sides are great too to get in and out which is what I want if I want to wear this underneath my winter jackets but over my clothes to stay warm.

I was so surprised by this item – it just did NOT seem like you at all. I can see the appeal from a warmth perspective, but otherwise… it’s a big risk for me – I can imagine I’d seldom end up wearin git

I was out the other day wishing I had worn my skirt over my jeans. Even with the merino wool underwear, I do not have enough fat to stay warm…

Well there you go! Canada is definitely the climate for it, unlike Sydney in summer!

The Budgeting Tool

About Me

I am a wealth-obsessed, style-focused, minimalist.

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months with The Budgeting Tool which I now sell online and donate its net proceeds to charity, along with The Investing Tool.

I've also authored two books: Start a Blog Like a Boss - Making $1000 USD a month & Invest your Money Like a Boss - In 4 Hours a Year.

I earn like a princess when I work but am trying hard to live like a duchess instead by not spending all of it.

The rest of the time I relax and enjoy the time off by traveling, although traveling has been on hold lately with the arrival of Little Bun, my rambunctious, ever-hungry little boy.

Welcome.
