Style Shopper: Review of Club Monaco Brooklyn Suede Booties in Elephant Gray

club-monaco-gray-brooklyn-suede-booties-review-save-spend-splurge

Let me start off by saying that I have been against ankle booties for years. I feel like they looked like Peter Pan shoes and was just not loving it.

Then I saw a few celebritiesĀ in them and thought: They…. can look kinda cute with everything!!!!!!

Of course, they were wearing Isabel Marant Dicker boots, which are 2x the price of the ones I ended up buying, but .. details!

So I spotted these from Style Spy: Isabel Marant Dicker Boots vs Club Monaco Brooklyn Suede Booties

Size

I took a 37. I’m normally a US 7 and they fit perfectly.

Colour

Almost a dead ringer in match of the colour but the heel is darker for the Brooklyn Suede Bootie which I prefer.

There also isn’t the detailing from the IM ones that are scalloped curves…

Quality

Excellent.

Made in Italy, it’s fully lined in soft beige leather in one piece with no seaming whatsoever at the toes so you wouldn’t get any blisters.

Very soft, great quality.

Fit

I’ve worn them on and off for quite a while and I will say the only spot that rubs on both feet are the tops of my big toes.

When I wear them for errands downtown walking pretty much from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., my toes feel a bit sore on the top from rubbing into the boots.

Otherwise, very manageable height, comfortable & I love them.

LOVE THEM.

They are comfortable for boots and I give them a 9.5/10.

Land’s End makes a very similar ankle boot that runs about $115. They’re all leather, come in several colors. My only complaint is that they’re made in China.
