I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
I have been searching for ideas and ways to wear this ultra high cropped top without something underneath it, so I realized I could wear a very high-rise skirt with it, and keep it up that high with a very tightly belted obi belt!
I mean, I love this printed top so much but it is not as versatile if it isn’t a regular tank top, it also has a very open back:
This necklace….. is just the perfect foil to this printed top. The shades of blue is perfect with the floral top, as well as being bold enough to stand up to the print.
I also added a black obi leather belt, and I DIY studded it with black studs in a pattern, to add some interesting texture.
I love the thick gold chain that goes with the yellow in the top, the blue, the upside crescent moon, and the minute I saw this necklace I gasped. I HAD TO BUY IT (so I did).
A close up on these gorgeous stones – her work usually goes for $500 USD or more, so buying it like this, secondhand for a decent price, is a dream for me, especially in something so different and interesting.
I love the lace in the skirt, and the way that it is see-through near the end just above the knees for something interesting. Lace + Velvet always goes well together.
The heels are kept simple in black because brown would just be another colour added to the look that would .. well, be out of place.
All of it, especially that velvet which by the way, is not black but this kind of super dark olive green.
