Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: The Singing The Blues Look

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

All blue, all day. I didn’t mean for it to be so .. BLUE… but it’s because I wanted to wear this Erdem cropped floral top so badly, without it being over a dress, and as an actual top by itself.

So I realized I could wear it with super high skirts. I chose a navy blue ponte one (I have ones in grey, black as well), and I keep it in place with a tight leather obi belt and to also cover up some of the skin that would be showing on my stomach to keep it comfortable.

I added a teal vintage necklace from Rafael Alfandary to not take away from the whole look as it’s all very BLUE.

I love that the top kind of pops out a little as well with some extra texture:

Close up on that amazing necklace. Teal against blue is so pretty.

Added some simple heels, and the whole look is done. And very work appropriate even though the top is so open at the back (just keep the shawl blazer on LOL), and I don’t need to wear another tank top underneath to cover my stomach.

All blues, and work appropriate with a pretty print as the star.

Which easy shop is the belt from? Love it!

A defunct Etsy store… I bought it over a decade ago. She no longer sells / makes obi belts but you could try Etsy and search: Leather obi belt 🙂 Lots of great options there.

This is one of my favorite outfits you’ve ever posted. It’s cohesive and flattering in its proportions. The necklace harmonizes with the other blues, and the gold metal picks up the lighter elements of the print. I would’ve preferred navy, black, or even nude shoes, for harmony, but the lines of the Blahniks are lovely on you. I wish you would add pictures of the jacket buttoned up, from the front, side, and back. That’s the real test of a jacket, I think. I always enjoy your outfit posts.

Thank you. Yes I need to wear my jackets buttoned up more but then I feel so.. BUTTONED UP! 🙂
