I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
The Royal Bohemian Goddess Look
I say “royal” only because purple was the colour of royalty in the past, so having a purple DRESS makes me feel like a royal from ancient times. Also… every time I wear this dress, I feel like a goddess. There’s something about a flowy maxi that just makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. These dresses also only work with sandals, either flat or high-heeled, in my opinion.
I stand taller in this dress. I feel way more benevolent (LOL!) and it’s so incredibly light, being 100% silk in the most beautiful print. Just look at it. (The colour in the first photo is from the morning light, so it looks a bit odd).
This shot is more true-to-colour, and the print has little tiny gold flecks all over it, like a floral starry night sky.
This necklace. Let’s talk about this necklace because when I saw it on Poshmark for $300 I was like: OMG. I MUST HAVE IT.. but $300!?… She told me a bit more about the history, it’s an aventurine stone, everything was done in plated gold, with polished wood, handmade by artisans in Bali. It was a sample piece that never went to production.
I should tell you at this point that anything that has the word “sample, never made to Production”, makes me all gooey inside because it means only one of its kind was ever created, and that it is a unique piece. I absolutely fell in love with it, but also with the massive stone because I like really big necklaces and I cannot lie.
So yeah, I managed to get it for a steal, frankly. I paid $0 out of pocket, as I used Poshmark credits (use code SHERRYISH for $15 to get started).
Let’s look at this beautiful belt, and the way they made this upcycled sari have a DIFFERENT sari as the belt, that sort of goes with the whole look, while mixing prints like a pro. I mean.. genius. This print mixing and matching is next level to me, and I am a sucker for edged/tipped items in a different border.
Lastly, these sandals. They’re incredibly comfortable, scored at Winners of all places, from a brand I have never heard of, but Maria Bromont sure the hell knows how to make an extremely comfortable suede cage sandal. This is what I’d call my neutral high-heeled caged sandals, and they go with everything. They increase the sexy, high-heeled factor on ANY OUTFIT when I wear them, and they’re fantastic.
Can you believe I didn’t feel the urge to add statement cuffs going up my arm with this look? 🙂
