Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Olivia Palermo made me do it Look”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The Olivia Palermo made me do it Look

When I saw this image of Olivia Palermo, the thing I loved was the little orange sweater peeking out at the wrists. I was in love with it so much that I had to take inspiration from it, and do something similar.

So when I bought a similar wrap grey coat (been searching for a few years), I knew it was time to pull out that photo and gain inspiration from it.

Her coat is actually a sleeveless wrap, and she wore a grey sweater with another sweater in orange underneath it peeking out but this is close enough.

She is wearing a super short dress (?) or skirt underneath, with strappy sandals, but I do not own a grey miniskirt, and I felt like jeans would be more appropriate considering how thick this wool cashmere blend wrap coat is.

I added the heels because.. I could wear flats, but I felt like heels took more of the inspiration from OP’s look than flats (though this is a perfect tailored pointed flat / loafter look), and it all goes together. I’d have even worn some pointed flats with this in black, or gold.

No necklace! The cuffs are enough, you can see a pop of orange underneath the wrap jacket, and that’s enough in a look like this.

Et voilà!
