I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
I normally never pair super loose tops with looser skirts, but this seemed to call out to me. A cashmere sweater from one of my favourite designer brands (The Row), mixing nicely with a draped, gorgeous silk skirt? *hearts in eyes*… it worked out perfectly.
To make it modern, I threw on a leather jacket rather than a blazer, in a navy blue tone.
I don’t think you can go wrong with ivory and navy blue (this is actually a very deep cobalt blue skirt).
I added a DIY necklace I made (you can read my necklace tutorial here) because the colours matched perfectly with the look. I normally never do this matchy-matchy thing but it seemed to work so well here, seeing as the gold in the necklace picks up in the sweater.
The heels are a camel spot with a camel colour that matches up with the sweater, and the gold in the necklace. I thought adding a print in this otherwise neutral outfit was the right call to add a little twist to the look.
LOVE.

I really love this look. Modern but very appropriate for the office, very nice👌🏽

It’s definitely modern but not inappropriate in the slightest. I am putting it in my “favourite outfits” mental folder.
