Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Lounge Lizard Look”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The Lounge Lizard Look

It’s surprisingly cold now, in the summer evenings as it heads into autumn, and this velvet robe is light, yet warm enough to keep me warm. I kept it all simple. The main star is this robe, by Vibeke Scott. I call it my Chrissy Teigen robe because she must have a million of them (and they’re not cheap either):

Here’s another robe she has that I love the colour of or maybe if it would be a little more pink…

I got mine secondhand off Poshmark, so I didn’t pay as much as she did (or maybe she got them for free!), and they look GREAT. They’re comfortable, they’re loose, flowy… perfect for lounging or even for a work thing.

It really doesn’t do this piece justice to see it in a shot, static, because it flows so well, and doesn’t look as bulky as the shot might seem (also my shoulders are huge so.. let’s keep that in mind). I love the contrast of the great deep dark green velvet against the glossy-ish shiny Givenchy Antigona bag. It has a nice look, and of course.. HEELS! I could wear this with pointed flats though, and it would look just as chic.

(Don’t mind the hair.. humidity sucked out all of my curling power. It looked great at the start but then just sank into limp whatever the F my hair looks like right now… seaweed. Limp seaweed.)

This is another basic b*tch outfit because the only thing that makes it interesting is the velvet robe and maybe the designer bag. The rest is just a simple white tee + ripped jeans, a good uniform staple of any outfit.
