I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
I started this look with the lace skirt. I knew I wanted it, I knew I also wanted the houndstooth print to mix with it, and then it hit me — why not have lace cuffs added to it, with a simple shirt underneath?
To obviously hold everything in place and not look sloppy, I added a DIY leather obi belt that I studded with black studs to make a pattern and add texture to outfits.
The necklace is actually a peacock feather under beveled glass made by an artisan on Etsy. I paid a lot more than I should have at the time I purchased it (I wasn’t quite as flush), but it just spoke to me. It was beautiful.
Altogether, a perfect look – I love the cosy turtleneck that goes with the lace, and that massive cowl neck at the top. I love the lace cuffs peeking out of the turtleneck and how it goes with the lace in the skirt.

I am trying to use the lace shirt differently 🙂
