Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Grey Skies Look”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The Grey Skies Look

A casual short-sleeved sweater in grey, with that kind of oversized look to it, off the shoulder, sort of devil-may-care (an aesthetic I am into as of late, along with gingham, gold everything and kimonos).

I decided to go for a slightly more boho vibe with a large, massive necklace (very Frankie from Grace and Frankie) (I MADE THE NECKLACE MYSELF!!!) that goes with the whole look, and then of course, added waxed black jeans for a leather-like look to edge it up.

Again, sorry for the wrinkles. I DID STEAM THIS. I steamed EVERYTHING 2 days before for all my looks but as I do not have a dedicated “selfies room”, where things hang nicely and aren’t being pawed at by little tiny sticky hands, things tend to get wrinkled and this is what you get.

A close up on that necklace. It’s actually a coaster from the home goods section, but I saw it and immediately knew it would look fantastic as a large necklace. And it does.

Waxed black jeans look very leather-like without being leather, and then the wedges are for me, an unexpected twist on the look because they are first of all a light caramel that doesn’t really “go” as a warm toned colour with the dark black and grey scheme happening up top, but I felt like it needed to be unexpected footwear (or something super bright, but I do not own any bright red heels or sandals yet except for my rainbow wedges), and comfortable.

The only saving grace is that the cognac brown wedges tie in very slightly to the gold edging on the necklace, in terms of being in the same feeling of colours.

I already have ‘ red heels ‘ on my list, because I feel like it’s missing in my list. But they have to be the PERFECT heels so I am waiting.

I absolutely love the jewellery that you make. Are you going to be selling any of your pieces? You really have a flare for this. All the pieces I’ve seen are so beautiful. Beth

Thank you Beth *hearts in eyes*

I have been thinking about it. I am not sure if I can really part with any of it, but obviously it will come to a point where I cannot keep everything I am making (and I am loving the creativity and art). I may consider selling some in the future but I would likely need to build up a bunch of pieces first, like a collection, before listing any.
