I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
The Grace Hanson from ‘Grace & Frankie’ Inspired Outfit
I have been watching “Grace and Frankie” lately and these red silk pants I picked up secondhand (like new), are SERIOUSLY screaming “Grace Hanson” to me. She is into blazers, pantsuits, and heels. This is basically her in an outfit, or at least, how I am channeling her.
It is so corporate but not. I didn’t want to do it quite as corporate as her look, but it totally channels her.
I decided on a white fuzzy sweater to offset the silk (I am all about textures), and then a hard, ‘cold’ gold collar necklace rather than something dangly, so I evoke her Grace’s character on the show – very prim, proper, and preppy.
The entire effect is just what I had hoped for! Though I think she would not have chosen a fuzzy sweater (that’s more Frankie than Grace), and would have opted for a white silk shirt or blouse instead.
Still, I didn’t want it to be too corporate, which is what I associate button-up shirts + pants and heels to be.

Nice pants. Consider hemming them for a more tailored finish.

I think I will. I wasn’t sure what heel I’d wear with them or if I’d do flats, which is what making me waver of how short to make them.
