Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Glam Gladiator Look”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The Glam Gladiator Look

All Gold, but make it Glam!! It makes me think of a gladiator for some reason. I think it’s the sweater. It’s a metallic mix of bronze, gold and black, with a kind of armoured feel to it with all of the ribbing, and the curves of the sweater.

I upcycled this necklace by taking three of them and merging them into this. After I laid it out on paper, and came up with the idea, it all clicked in my head. It just looks… like it was meant to be. Just like this. The necklace around my neck is actually one I got for free from someone and never wore because it was too basic (read: boring), but I didn’t toss it because it was still nice, but I thought I might have a use for it in the future.

I had immediately paired it up with this Stella and Dot Kimberley ladder necklace that I like but never wore because it was just too.. gold. And boring. I mean it’s a statement piece but a boring one, compared to the other pieces I wear these days.

The middle is a beautiful kind of amethyst drusy slice flower necklace I bought years ago and liked wearing, but found to be too boring these days for the clothes I wear. I added it in the middle as an afterthought. Once I put all three together, the piece clicked in my head and it was a new necklace with a cool look for me.

I love having the metallic sweater vibe with the gold necklace, and I made it more casual by wearing my new-to-me super SUPER ripped Frame black jeans to make it less formal (metallic seems formal to me), and more casual.

I love the slashes going up the thighs. I am getting bolder in my choice of ripped jeans!

I then cuffed the bottoms and paired them with my favourite super glam sneakers by Lanvin. Bought for a song, and they’re actually a size too large for me, but I loved them so much. I didn’t care. They retailed for around $900 USD new. I figured I’d just wear socks or something and it would fit better, but they fit fine-ish (just a tad loose in fron), and look great.

Definitely one of my favourites to date.
