Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Eye Stopping Look”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The Eye Stopping Look

Bright red, navy blue, a wild necklace… Listen, it’s an Iris Apfel-inspired dream right now, but toned down for the office.

I honestly started with this combination of the top + skirt, and worked off that.

The necklace, is the OTHER side of my DIY piece. It can be worn as a totally gold-toned piece with a drusy flower slice, or flipped and worn like this, with the colours showing.

The dark blue in the necklace match well with the navy blue in the skirt, and you know how much I like the look of teal/turquoise that contrasts with orange-red. It just goes so well together.

I also like the way the necklace ladders down the front, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the pleats of the top, showcasing my DIY upcycled look, flanked by brass chains, delicately sewn onto the top.

The draping of this skirt is… *kisses fingers* … It’s beautiful, stylish, and perfectly tailored.

Here’s another look at the draping in front. Kind of reminds me of a sarong-style skirt.

It all came together. And is a very bright outfit, by my own admission. Definitely colour in the office if I were to wear it.
