Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The English Grammar Princess Look”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The English Grammar Princess Look

So this shirt says it all – There, Their and They’re, which I think are VERY SIMPLE words to not mix up because they’re so different in terms of meanings and even spellings, but then again, I’m a bit of an English spelling/grammar freak (not the super persnickety kind that knows the different between who and whom, but some basic spelling is my minimum…)

Action shot. I chose a very formal-ish, but casual Burberry cropped white cotton coat with gold buckle detailing because I wanted to make the outfit less casual, and more dressed up. I don’t love that I am too basic in terms of tee + jeans, and wearing this jacket helps elevate the look a little for me. Also, the colours all go together – gold cuffs, gold buckles on the jacket, gold shoes.

The glam part that goes with the gold buckle, is adding the SUPER GLAM gold cuff with a set of hard rock stones going across the top. Love.

I always feel the need to load up this jacket with tons of gold cuffs because it acts like a ‘sleeve’ for the jacket when I load it up on my arms. The gold in the cuff also goes with the gold in the buckles.

The jeans are heavily distressed by Frame (that’s kind of their specialty, along with raw edge hems), and I chose sneakers with the look to make it more casual (well.. as casual as I can make it anyway), as they’re actually gold leather sneakers by Lanvin.  Yes. Lanvin GOLD. LEATHER. SNEAKERS. Haha…. it’s as athleisure as I can go. You know, make it comfortable but glam AF.

Here’s your awkward outtake shot of the day. I must have pressed the button on my wireless camera remote because I ended up with this shot without meaning to take it! I was trying to adjust my jacket here I think…

It is surprisingly one of my favourite outfits, even though the look is very casual (and I generally don’t do casual), but I made it more glam, which is more my vibe.
