Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Dress That Makes Me Feel Like I Am In Dynasty”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

The Dress That Makes Me Feel Like I Am In Dynasty

This dress looks pretty standard issue from the front right? A basic, boring b*tch jersey maxi dress that could have come from Old Navy, or any other mainstream fast fashion shop…. Except, then you turn to the side or walk away and BAM!! DRAMA.

I love this back so much. The way it curves into your body, it looks like a super hero cape, and adds subtle drama without being too much. It screams for armfuls of cuffs, and lots of moments where you just walk away from people or turn your back on them (politely of course).

The dress doesn’t seem to be sold any more, but there is another more subtle, tee version that has a nice back pleat to it I am eying.

Just because the front is so boring, I added my favourite Ruth Bader Ginsburg necklace, the Pegasus (RIP Notorious RBG) with its perfect flow and stack of metal feathers in rows across the front because Gold + Orange = Perfection:

This is a cuff from a brand I never heard of – Jennybird who makes wonderfully minimalist jewellery…. that goes well with the entire look because the brass picks up the tones in the necklace:

Also, can we talk about the colour? PERSIMMON. What a perfect shade of deep, saturated orange that makes you feel like absolute royalty. And of course, it is perfect with bronze and gold, and it sort of gave me Roman Empress vibes, which is probably why I wore such a statement necklace with a more delicate cuff.
