I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
The Desert Sands Look
This shirt is the Beverly by MM Lafleur and one of my favourite work shirts in my wardrobe because of the colour, the beautiful thick silk ribbon that knots beautifully in front, and looks chic with jeans or with any skirt or trousers.
I decided on a light biscuit vegan suede pencil skirt because it’s a perfect neutral with the top.
The cuff is turquoise, that is kind of like a lighter version or cousin to the colour of the dark inky spruce green, with a pop of gold to give me that glam I so desperately feel the urge to add in every outfit.
I like the entire combination a lot, and it’s an easy, comfortable look to wear.
The skirt has brown undertones in it, so I paired it with medium brown heels, a good neutral without being a black.
Another simple combination for work. If I wanted to wear a layer on top of this, I’d throw on a sweater or a blazer.

I agree with the athletic compliment! Very flattering look for you and might be amongst an all time favorite. Gorgeous blouse and skirt combination, just love it and the turquoise is genius, would’ve never thought to add with this outfit. Love how your hair looks also (despite only being able to see the bottom).

I AM SO SURPRISED. I have been so flabby and anything but athletic during this time that it’s amazing what clothes can do…
Thank you

Ivory, of course. I seldom think of white for some reason.

It’s one of my favourite neutrals, it really lightens everything

For some reason I am thinking about the Olympics when I see this outfit. Maybe it is because you look so athletic in it. In any case, I like it a lot! Green and turquoise is a favourite combo of mine and this would be ok for my office too, with a blazer/cardigan, or if I changed the top for a one with sleeves. What colour of topper would you use if you added one?

OH GOODNESS Athletic. This is a true compliment because I haven’t done any yoga for a long time.
For the topper I’d do ivory. It matches best with the skirt in beige, I think! And doesn’t look too dark or depressing. Camel would be too matchy-matchy. Grey looks off tone-wise.
