I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.
This makes me want to break out in a song from Grease. There’s something about this skirt (SO SWING-Y), and in this super bright cherry red colour that makes me feel so FIFTIES. I think the Grease reference comes from the jacket. They all wore the best jackets in that movie….
The necklace is a simple piece made by a Québecoise artisan, out of crimped copper. I paid more than I probably should have for it, but it’s just such a versatile, minimalist statement piece.
The belt is off an old Burberry trench coat that I already sold (it no longer fit my shoulders after having Little Bun), and the leftover of what I bought the coat for, and the belt I snagged off it, was about $250, so I am making the cost of the belt that amount.
I love that the belt loops PERFECTLY into the skirt (!!!) I mean.. when does that ever happen?
The heels are peeking out and they add a touch of something elegant to the outfit. I feel like it just makes it perfectly work-appropriate.
