Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “The Boss Look”

I am going to start posting my daily outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style instead of on Instagram especially after the SNAFU, and then doing a summary/Month of Style roundup at the end, like usual of all of my looks, including extra detail or photos I do not put in these individual posts.

The Boss Look

This is a work outfit I keep wanting to wear, but don’t, for some reason. It’s a beautiful silk MM Lafleur Beverly top in a gorgeous Rainforest green, with a vegan leather pencil skirt from Zara. I won’t lie, it feels a little rubbery because it isn’t real leather, but it is a perfect outfit.

The cuff is a gorgeous, gold-leafed, flecked cuff from an artisan in NYC I got secondhand off Poshmark (use code SHERRYISH for a $15 credit), and it looks like an outfit that is a strong, powerful, boss look.

Am a millionaire at 36 after getting out of $60K of student debt in 18 months, a little over a decade earlier, using I have worked 50% of my career (taking 1-2 year breaks), and quadrupled my income within 2 years of graduating, going from $65K to $260K with an average lifetime savings rate of 50%. I have 11 side incomes that are on track in 2020 to make me $50K - $75K. Great outfit!! Love the silhouette of the pencil skirt x

  2. Anne

Great outfit! I’m one of the few people I know that misses dressing up for work now that I’ve been WFH since March (and will likely continue to be so predominantly for a long time). I’ve got lots of MM LFleur, which I love (you can wash it in the washing machine for goodness sake!!) and literally no where to wear it….

Same here. *sigh*…. I just have to think: I will one day, be able to wear all of this again. This will not last forever.

  3. Corianne

Love the green top (I have a weakness for green everything in clothes!!!) <3

I am obsessed with this shade of green actually. It is like an ink blot, sort of watercoloured, mottled gorgeous deep pine green. I discovered that this colour is SO FLATTERING on me and now I want everything in this colour.
