Sherry’s #OOTD Outfit of the Day Style & Fashion Look: “My version of basic b*tch style”

I post my outfits on the blog every day at noon (12 p.m. EST) under this Style category #OOTD Daily Style and then I do a summary of all the looks in my Month of Style roundup at the end of the month.

My version of basic b*tch style

I love this top. I love it and want more styles of it, of whatever I can get. Maybe in a bright white instead of just an ivory because I love natural colours.

It’s how I started this outfit – I just wanted to wear this great sweater again, and I love the look of my hair (not like this, but properly curled – the curls started to loosen and lose their shape with the humidity), hanging down in waves. The draped sweater is great as a dolman sleeve, and the other, drapey and cute, yet with a defined forearm sleeve that is tighter and form fitting:

I started with the top. Again. I just really wanted to wear this comfortable, beautifully draped piece, and some leather leggings, but not obvious leather leggings – suede ones instead, with a matte look to them, kind of like a textured crocodile.

It’s a comfortable look that lets you run errands, go to the park (maybe not with light coloured suede flats), or even go out to lunch, or for a walk around downtown.

I kept it super simple and instead of black flats, as I felt like there was already a lot of black in the look, I wore some neutral suede flats (again suede in the leggings + suede in the shoes), to pick up in the ones of the sweater.

Everything was kept simple this time, dark + light. The only concession I made was to throw on a vintage cuff (WHAT? I can’t help myself) for a very VERY tiny pop of colour.

I picked up this vintage cuff for under $11 because it looked like it had a nice stained glass look to it, like a crackled colour popping up from underneath. It opens from that little curve you see to the left (bottom) side of the cuff, where it looks seamless as a hinge.

I love the look.
