October 2017 Budget Roundup

Using a new format to review my budget. I never know what to write about so I’ll just.. blurt it all out in various categories.

Yoga has been helping immensely. I don’t miss a day unless I have a meeting that I cannot reschedule. I block off the time and refuse to let anyone encroach on it.

My mantra this month?

I have been trying hard to stick under $2000 a month but I am seeing with Little Bun preschool and things, even if I don’t buy any clothing.

$3000 seems like a good budget spending amount to aim for, without feeling deprived and stressed.

I HAVE been trying though.

I will be above $600,000 next month. No surprise there. My new goal instead of $625,000 in net worth is a quiet $650,000 at the end of the year.

This will all depend on two factors:

  1. My spending (obviously)
  2. The stock markets

My income is pretty fixed. I know what I will make for the last 2 months and there is no surprise there.

What happened to all the details you normally list in the budget roundup? Did they all disappear or are you currently trying out a new format. I tried to look back at the September budget roundup post as well but they both seem to have all the numbers missing.

I’m trying to fix the blog and have not had time to fix the numbers! Have to work on this.

Just curious on an annual basis what’s your profit margin on the online revenue after all the cost or how much do u net after upkeep costs for server , hosting etc excluding your labour hours?

    1. Sherry of Save. Spend. Splurge.

Net? I’d say in the negatives if I include my labour hours that is. This “hobby” is just to keep my brain and hands busy because work and my son isn’t enough 😛

Awesome Sherry! You’ll hit $650K with no problem!
Do you and your partner split the preschool expense and iPad math app expense?

Also you might have posted about this already, but if you’re incorporated (not sure if you are), is the small business tax plan changes/ reform going to affect you?

      1. Yes, we split all Little Bun expenses.

      2. No. I don’t do income sprinkling (hiring Little Bun or my partner), and I don’t use my business for capital gains investing.
