MY BOOK IS ALMOST READY FOR SALE

Thank you all for voting on the book cover. I’m going with the majority, and I loved your feedback and suggestions.

This is my new book cover by (pretty much) overwhelming consensus:

..now I just need to finish everything else — publish it, review it one last time & then get it on the market.

I’m aiming for the end of this month!

Stay tuned….

HOW DAYCARE & FEEDING ARE IN FRANCE VERSUS CANADA

My guest post is up over at Distant Francophile: How different things are in France where I recount a conversation with my partner about the care and feeding of Baby Bun 😉

INCOME = $0

None. I’m not recording any blog income here, even though I do make about $1000 a month off the blog.

I’m paying myself back for all the money I sunk into the blog thus far for the change in the design etc. It is FINALLY getting paid back. I should be done the debt to myself in May 2017.

Also, know what sucks? I am not going to work until next year. I have to take advantage of this time that I am guaranteed off.

CUE LOTS OF BAKING & COOKING! 😀

(And book writing).

EXPENSES = $6931.46

Stupid Welcome Tax.

Stupid Stress making me eat and shop.

TOP 5 EXPENSES

I am so pleased that my housing expenses are SO LOW.

LOOK AT IT!

Below $500 a month!

It’s really more like $500 a month because taxes are paid yearly, not monthly, but still…

I really do think I made the right choice paying for my place in cash.

NET WORTH = $496,317.37 or a decrease of $11,983.85 or -2.41%

PAST 12 MONTHS

BABY BUN’S NET WORTH = $15,294.94 or an increase of $537.85 or 3.64%

Baby Bun is just killing it. I love seeing his net worth snap up the graph!

    Ooof, those taxes! Property here is so different. No taxes when buying or selling (and we only recently got any kind of capital gains tax, which is super wishy washy and is around the ‘intent’ you had for that property). My annual council rates (like your property taxes) are like $1600 for the year – or the equivalent of like 4 weeks rent in what I was previously paying

    I think there’s something going on with your site… when you click on a blog post it doesn’t show you the full text. The “read more” links don’t seem to be working properly. It’s only on mobiles though

    What on earth is a ‘Welcome Tax?’ Seems quite unwelcome to me…
