Now I know why people are addicted to online shopping

Just look at all the pretty things I put into my fake shopping basket!!! (Just from Anthropologie alone)

(P.S. I’d link to these pieces directly, but I’ve noticed that Anthropologie tends to screw up when this happens)

Ignoring that it’s a lot of polyester (I avoid polyester as a rule), that most of the pieces are PROBABLY made in China, and that I really shouldn’t be shopping.. here’s what I liked:

Anthropologie-Pixelated-Fleur-Dress

WHY I LIKE THIS DRESS:

I am a sucker for bold, bright, cool prints. This one looks awesome. Too bad the reviews say that it feels cheap and sucks.

Anthropologie-Archival-Collection-Print-Sheath-Tropics-Dress

WHY I LIKE THIS DRESS:

It’s so ugly it’s pretty. I’d need to wear a leather jacket over this or something to tone down the sugar.

Anthropologie-Colette-Trench

WHY I LIKE THIS TRENCH:

They had me a “trench”. But it’s also pretty, feminine.. and unusual. Kind of like a skirted trench.

But again, the reviews SUCK!

Anthropologie-Jolie-Moto-Jacket

WHY I LIKE THIS COAT:

Moto + Tweed + Jacket = LOVE. I am a sucker for a topper, and this looks great. I actually saw a similar tweed moto jacket at Jacob in Canada a season or two ago, but the quality was awful (thin tweed, kind of cheap feeling).

This one looks nice and has good reviews, but I’d definitely remove that fake fur collar.

Anthropologie-Rennes-Sweater

WHY I LIKE THIS SWEATER:

Autumn makes you want to pull a sweater on, and this one looks sensational with that glittery skirt. Glam meets casual. I could totally recreate this look if I had a glittery skirt.

Anthropologie-Leather-Sleeve-Pullover

WHY I LIKE THIS SWEATER:

Leather sleeves are like a trend that happened a season ago but I don’t care.

I like leather and I like the look of it, and sometimes you don’t want it all over your body. Just in little hints like in the sleeves? YUM!

The only thing I don’t like is that weird oatmeal colour of the sweater. If only it were.. grey.

Anthropologie-Strata-Dress

WHY I LIKE THIS DRESS:

It looks a lot like a dress from Dior a while back with the striped skirt. I actually have a skirt that is already striped so I can re-create this, but this dress is SO CUTE.

Anthropologie-Faloria-Cardigan

WHY I LIKE THIS SWEATER:

Leather sleeves. Enough said.

Anthropologie-Artemisia-Peasant-Blouse

WHY I LIKE THIS TOP:

It’s… different. I LIKE different. I can imagine this with some simple skinny leggings, a simple blazer or jacket… or just peeking out under a sweater.

Anthropologie-AG-Farrah-High-Rise-Skinny-Jeans

WHY I LIKE THESE JEANS:

High rise! Do you even know how hard it is to find high rise jeans? I LOVE high rise jeans. These looks great. Too bad the bump prevents me from trying them on for post-baby fashion.

Anthropologie-Scaline-Wrap-Cardigan

WHY I LIKE THIS CARDIGAN (?):

I don’t even know why this would be a cardigan but it looks fabulous as a long, knit, gorgeous scarf.

Anthropologie-Everyday-Knit-Jacket

WHY I LIKE THIS JACKET:

So it’s not a jacket in the reviews, it’s more of a sweater. I like that drapey, loose casual look.. which seems to be my style these days.

Anthropologie-Mixed-Moto_jacket

WHY I LIKE THIS JACKET:

Mixed? LEATHER? MOTO!? Sign me up.

I like sleeves with an under sleeve as a knit or or cloth because I find it more comfortable than if something is in full leather, especially if you zip it up.

Anthropologie-Lucielle-Tank

WHY I LIKE THIS TOP:

Bold black and white, a bow.. it would look great under a black blazer.

Ohh fall finds! I have to avoid that site in general…those prices are not in my budget. I have to remind myself that experiences are more important than things–and i can find something similar for half the cost 🙂

I have a subscription to Amazon Prime and get most things delivered on Amazon. Why not? Often it’s affordable, convenient and no need to deal with huge mall groups. I have the Amazon app on my smartphone…

Btw I loved those picks. Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores.

I do most of my shopping online, not just clothes but random necessities too including some food/drink products. Maui either doesn’t carry certain items or it’s marked up way too high. I’ve revisited poly recently for dressier blouses to wear with jeans (I wear jeans every day to work). It’s better than the poly of the past and I usually wear it in more floaty or oversized styles so the breathability is less of a concern (versus a fitted under a jacket blouse.) Great picks! I wish we had more of a fall season here because I love jackets, boots and sweaters.

Instead of polyester, I look for silk. Polyester makes me sweat like nobody’s business..! Rayon and acrylic I can deal with because it makes wool less itchy.. but polyester is a no for me.

Love this post, probably because I love to browse online too and I’m incurably curious about other people’s shopping habits. Are you gonna make it a regular feature?

P.s. Love the pattern on the first dress, but the elastic waist plus the bad reviews nix it for me. Good thing 😉

I could 🙂 I have these urges to buy everything online and I feel like I should start enabling others.

The pattern is SO pretty but I thought about the elastic waist as well and it’s a deal breaker.

Glad you understand why people are addicted to online shopping. I cannot understand for the life of me why anyone is addicted to any type of shopping. It is such a bore compared to creating and moving one’s body!

On the other hand, I too avoid all thing polyester. Have a fun one!

I totally didn’t notice the fur collar. I guess against the model’s hair it is camouflage.

I’m addicted to online shopping too! I purchased my daughter’s tablet, mom and daughter dress, bags and etc.! For me online shopping might be very addictive because it’s hassle free and you can view the items very well.
