November 2014: What I bought, watched and read

WHAT I READ

Reading? Yes. Well.. I read this book by Oprah and found it .. OK.

Kind of too fluffy for my liking.

I love Oprah, don’t get me wrong.. but she’s too.. inspirational for me. I read a few nuggets here and there and liked some of the advice but in general, couldn’t really get into it.

WHAT I WATCHED

So far.. I am watching a lot of TV:

  • The Good Wife
  • Top Chef
  • Elementary
  • Castle

WHAT I BOUGHT

2 pairs of winter gloves = $35

This is for the car and the office. I need winter gloves to clean off the car (I only have cute leather ones).

Yoga classes = $60

I signed up for some yoga early in the morning, just a few sessions because I really REALLY miss doing yoga.

Sherry of Save. Spend. Splurge.

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months using TheBudgetingTool.com. Since then, I have worked 50% of my career (taking 1-2 year breaks), and quadrupled my income within 2 years of graduating, going from $65K to $260K (savings rate = 85%). I could retire today if I wanted, but love my work-life balance as a freelancing consultant in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). I also post daily on Instagram @saverspender.

Lol, you’re watching almost all the shows I watch. I suggest adding Grim to the list, if you like fantasy and mystery. I’m also going through the new Marco Polo at the moment.

Too Inspirational for me….Lol. That statement is so funny. I guess when you have that much money you can afford to be positive all the time.
