My Autumn / Winter Closet

Packed away my stuff from Summer (mostly dresses, light tops and so on).

This is what my current closet looks like.

Long-sleeved shirts (I wear them open over tank tops these days), moving right longer-sleeved shirts, t-shirts and tank tops… then blazers, sweaters, and winter coats.

I’ll have to start moving the Autumn stuff into my suitcases soon although I kind of wear the same things in Spring, so I may just leave it all up and pack it away when Summer rolls around.

A closer look at my sweaters, blazers and winter jackets…

I spy a Saint James 🙂 I love fall clothes (think San Francisco). Full on winter is a bit cold for me. That whole dressing and undressing thing (when indoors) while going out in NYC during the winter drives me crazy. Put the coat, gloves sweater and scarf on. Go outside and still be freezing. Go indoors and OMG it’s so fricken hot. Take it all off, wander around random retail establishment/museum, etc carrying winter gear wishing everyplace had a coat check. Ugh…

Although things are definitely chillier and rainier here right now in Hawaii, we really don’t need a seasonal closet change out. The most I have to do is throw on leggings/long sleeve T instead of a nightgown when I sleep. I like the idea however of having a capsule wardrobe for a set period of time. Inspired by Project 333, I plan to put together a capsule wardrobe for the month of January and only use those items (also reserve a small space in my closet for my capsule). January is crazy nuts for my day job so I’d like the benefit of not thinking when getting dressed that minimalists enjoy. It’ll be like a baby step in that direction.

Saint James! Bought in Paris for 66 EUR 🙂 I love the shirt.

Full on winter is very cold. I like it at around 10 degrees C or 50 Fahrenheit.. or warmer, but not Miami-style full on heat and humidity.

Love this post! I know you want to remain anonymous, but by golly I’d love to see a pic of your baby bump. 🙂 I think pregnant women are the most adorable things on the planet. Now, I say that even though I thought I looked like a beached whale, but whatever. Details. 🙂

I always dream to experience a winter season, playing in the snow and making snowballs man. I really in love watching the snow falling from the skies and turning the streets into a white surroundings
