Making the most of promotional freebies
Like free stuff? You get lots of goody bags at conferences, seminars and other such meet ups and it is usually emblazoned with the company or trade show logo on there. I remember one year I went to a trade show and walked away with an umbrella with the company logo on it which I ended up leaving at my parents’ house to use as a backup.
There are plenty of companies out there that give away stuff for free to entice customers to sign up with them or to join, and these are called promotional freebies. In fact, I do not think I have ever gone to a trade show or a seminar without walking away with at least a pen and a pad of paper.
Other companies that give away free things are usually banks, but they always try and get you to sign up for credit card offers and you will get a free t-shirt, hat or pen with it, but if you are not careful with your credit cards you can run into some deep consumer debt trouble which can be worth more than the free stuff you are getting.
Lastly, you can also get free things as gifts for buying other items, the best example of this would be those cute makeup bags that you get at the counter for buying a lipstick or a compact or perhaps a makeup kit of the company’s brand. Sometimes they give you a company branded bag to use. The other example is when you go to a retail store and buy clothing or things, sometimes they give you a reusable bag that is branded in the company’s colours and logos which you can use as a lunch bag, a tote or just in general to carry around which helps promote the company for free.
