June 2015: What I bought, watched and read

ALL SAINTS STAM TANK TOPS x 3  – $42 EACH IN WHITE, BLACK AND OPTIC; $126 IN TOTAL

I know this is crazy, but I love this tank top so much because it’s the perfect stretch in 100% cotton made in Portugal, it is the perfect thinness without being too cheap, and the right flatness to the entire fabric (because of how thin it is) that makes it PERFECT to wear underneath dresses, tops and so on to preserve modesty.

I wear them alone as well but I really just like having them underneath for when I wear tops that tend to gap open and show a lot when I bend over.

I bought it in white, black and optic grey again (I already have one but one can never have too many backups especially in grey)..

I thought about just buying and wearing a bra top instead to cover my bra for modesty purposes but I prefer a tank top in the end, I just don’t want a thick one and I don’t want spaghetti straps either to cause more fiddly-ness.

NOA NOA SHELL TOPS IN CHALK AND BLACK – $115 EA; $230 TOTAL

I have found the PERFECT stylish, casual but still chic and minimalist tank. I have been searching for a very long time for something that was silk-like but not silk, interesting, not boring and without a collar. Enter: These tank tops, shell tops really. Made out of cupro and viscose, they are ridiculously comfortable, high-enough to cover my bra (although I will still wear one of the tanks above as it tends to gap open if I bend over), loose, minimalist, and VERY cool. Then I picked up some jewellery. Of course. Could NOT help myself.

LACE RING FROM SHEENA JEWELLERY – $130 & A METAL BEADED BRACELET – $88

Both are gorgeous. I’ve wanted a lace ring for SO LONG. She’s also a Montreal designer.

My new #jewelry purchases while #shopping yesterday. A gorgeous #silver #lace #ring and a metal beaded bracelet .. So pretty. #YYZ #oldmontreal rocks!! #jewellery #accessories #ootd #pretty #baubles

For modesty I wear demi’s from Second Base (made in the USA). I stock up when they go on sale. I find the demi less fussy underneath clothing but I do wear full tanks sometimes too.

As a fellow lover of minimalist fashion, I’m really into your purchases this month, especially the black and white shells. I also really like the pearl bar necklace and lace ring – so pretty!

I’m starting to veer more towards neutrals and minimalism. Not to say I don’t love colour but now I love specific colour combinations and not rainbow hues..

How do you get your shells to stay put over the tank tops? Are they just really close in dimension, or do you pin them together somehow?

Love that pearl bar necklace at the end 🙂

What do you mean? The shell itself is just really loose 🙂 I wear a tank underneath so that when I bend over, you can’t see down my shirt … LOL

@save. spend. splurge.: I was meaning in terms of the straps. Do they stay put so it looks like you have two straps, or does the shell slide over and you have four straps showing?
