In Style, What I bought

July 2017: What I bought

This is a post.. done hastily, (I’m sorry!). Sit back, grab a KitKat or a coffee and enjoy.

MM Lafleur Angelou Shawl – Shadow Grey & Cream – $265 USD each

Gorgeous, shawl-style cashmere that is soft, stunning and really the perfect length & cover for chilly offices – easy to take on and off.

I got it in cream too because I couldn’t decide. I like the light shawl for darker outfits and the dark shawl for lighter outfits.

Full reviews here on the shawls

MM Lafleur Taylor Dress in Viridian Green & Indigo Blue – $265 USD each

I bought this in Plum at full-price and in Viridian Green at full price as well because they NEVER show up on any site on any kind of discount, and in my size no less (US 6).

I managed to snag the Indigo Blue for only $160 USD off eBay in my size..

Full reviews here on the green dress…. and the Taylor dress in Deep Plum and I haven’t taken photos of them in Indigo Blue yet on me.

MM Lafleur Fey Top – $145 USD and the Soho Skirt -$140 USD in Rainforest Green

I bought this ENTIRE outfit below because I wasn’t sure about the Rainforest Green but once I had it on, I went .. WHOA.. and it was exactly my style.

Draped, gorgeous, sexy but still covered up.. and very easy to pull on and off versus a fully draped, body-con dress.

Full review here on the Fey Top & the Skirt.

MM Lafleur Crossover Belt – $110 USD and the Broadway Belt – $80 USD

I. Love. Belts.

I love really well made, cool leather belts, and these two were great — a skinny knotted belt, and another that is an obi style that has wrapped leather belts all around to help make it different.

MM Lafleur Deneuve 2.0 Cream Top – $145 USD

I thought I would hate it because the draped piece in front would cling to my little belly pooch (yes I have one, this is what having a child does to you, your body becomes distended a little at the lower belly level)… and in contrast, it was PERFECTLY tailored to drape and hang without clinging to any bulk, and looks great tucked into my Soho skirt above.

I also find it super comfortable, loose, and the perfect throw-on top.

MM Lafleur Lenox Skirt in Royal Navy – $175 USD

I bought it in Amaranth for $465 USD at full price and loved it SO MUCH I bought it in Royal Navy secondhand for a fraction of the price…

I love the draping, the gorgeous thick silk.. and I think they will never make it again because it was far too pricey for most people to buy.

Life with Bird Watercolour Painted Silk Tank – $60

Striped? Knot detail? and a wrap-ish style!? OMFG. YES PLEASE. Similar here for $50 from Mango.

YES. $25, BRAND NEW, marked down heavily from $400. I … jumped on it. I don’t necessarily need any more striped tops, but I love ’em.

Used. Love the knot detail, I like how it looks like a sarong, and stripes.. emergherd yes..

Similar from Zulily here for $28.

Bailey 44 Turtleneck – Dark Grey – $30

And that’s all I got this month. No more shopping. I’m all shopped out.

I need to now edit through my summer and spring wardrobe, and my winter one I think is quite set with sweaters… 🙂

(of course, a few pieces here and there make it in.. like clothes for traveling :-P)
