In the world of Save. Spend. Splurge.: Where washing your jeans is not that necessary

For 15 months, these jeans have not been washed, only frozen to remove smells…. and at the end?… ZERO HARMFUL BACTERIA. No kidding.

I am not obsessive about washing my clothes all the time either for 3 reasons – I hate to iron, if it doesn’t smell or have a stain I don’t bother, and for the environment it is much healthier / cleaner to not wash all the time.

As for jeans, I rarely wash them, unless they get really dirty. I do wash tops more often however, as I sweat more in them, and I spot clean as I go.

I love the architectural details of this Badgley Mischka white dress, from the collar to the sleeves.. it is a stunning work dress.

When women freelance, they tend to turn into bloggers, writers, YouTubers, etc… and those industries are clogged with so many people doing the same thing, that it isn’t really that fresh. They aren’t millionaires. I myself freelance but in a male dominated industry and not a creative one at that. That’s where the real money is.

FINALLY. High rise pants for the rest of us by Ann Taylor. I like these pants, but I need the rise to be higher and comfortable.

Saving money is definitely as pleasurable as spending it. You just need to be in the right mindset. When I make money, I see saving as easy, but not pleasurable because it is easy and I haven’t really worked for it.

I actually gain far more pleasure in saving, but when I am not working and truly making REAL decisions between spending $5 on something I don’t really need or find necessary.

That for some reason, gets my fire going and I like seeing (after a few weeks of a painful transition of Spender to Saver), how much I can save, how long I can NOT buy something I don’t need, and to really challenge myself. I gain so much pleasure in saving $5! $25! .. Or selling something for $16, and not spending it but putting it straight into my bank account.

Natori is one of my favourite lust-have jewellery designers, and this bold but simple cuff is right up my alley.

Lastly I leave you with: The Making of an Hermès Kelly Bag that can sell for tens of thousands..

The Budgeting Tool

About Me

I am a wealth-obsessed, style-focused, minimalist.

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months with The Budgeting Tool which I now sell online and donate its net proceeds to charity, along with The Investing Tool.

I've also authored two books: Start a Blog Like a Boss - Making $1000 USD a month & Invest your Money Like a Boss - In 4 Hours a Year.

I earn like a princess when I work but am trying hard to live like a duchess instead by not spending all of it.

The rest of the time I relax and enjoy the time off by traveling, although traveling has been on hold lately with the arrival of Little Bun, my rambunctious, ever-hungry little boy.

Welcome.
