In the world of Save. Spend. Splurge.: Where men are marrying holograms now

1. HOMING IN

I homeschooled because of the pandemic and then continued with it. This article sums up 100% exactly what it is like – both the good and bad. He has learned so much more with us, I am talking.. literal years ahead, because of the one-on-one attention and tailored learning plan, versus what he would have done in school.

2. MOONSTONE

I have this gorgeous robe on my list. I am not sure if I would be able to wear it to the grocery store, but it just makes me smile.

3. METAVERSE, INDEED

These men (4000 of them) have married holograms. I am not surprised, … which surprises me. I wonder how far artificial intelligence will enter our lives in the future.

4. DOCUMENTING

Consider, getting a fireproof safe or second best option, this fireproof folder to help preserve all of your documents JUST IN CASE. You have a big family file that can be accessed for each person, it’s organized and it’s in one spot rather than all over the place.

5. SLUMMING IT

These haunting images of Victorian slums, are bringing a lot of history to the forefront of how people used to (AND STILL) live.

6. UTILITARIAN

I actually have this portable, collapsible wagon/cart… and use it for everything. It is so handy when you need to shift garbage to the bins, or carry big packages to the car, or groceries back upstairs. VERY handy.

Your son has indeed learned much, much more from the one-on-one instruction you have provided. Not that many moms or dads that I have known, however, could come close to what you have done, be it because of not understanding the learning process, not having the energy, not being willing to put in the time/effort, not having such high intelligence in both parent and child. I asked recently if you were going to send LB to school, but I did not mean that you should–just curious. I have concerns for some home-schoolers, particularly only children without tons of neighbor kids around, but not intellectual concerns. I suspect LB would need at least somewhat gifted playmates not to be frustrated!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I need to send him to school however, because I cannot keep up with him, I can see I am reaching the end, and I cannot be an expert in all of the subjects he has to cover to be able to take the national exams and tests that come up. The intellectual part is phenomenal as a homeschooler, but the rest of it… I cannot do it alone. The good news is he is starting school next year.
