Save. Spend. Splurge.

In the world of Save. Spend. Splurge.: Where legal sex workers can make over $500,000

I found this money diary of a legal sex worker extremely interesting in terms of spending in an industry that is so cloak & dagger… Most interesting part?

“My goal is to book $750,000 this year. I’ve booked $534,000 this year so far — $267,000 pre-expenses and pre-taxes. During tax season, many things for us are deductible — condoms, lube, massage oil, photo shoots, my computer, my cell phone, the cost to get my hair cut, makeup, etc. I file as an LLC and pay just over $15,000 in taxes each year on average.”

WHOA.

If you are still trying to find your own personal style, this is a really intense book full of questions and activities that WILL get you there. If you need more ideas, this is The PERFECT book for any style-obsessed person. I bought one for me (like a physical paper copy, which means a lot) and a good friend of mine because it is so full of help, tips and is incredibly practical.

I am OBSESSED with this new Instagram style feed of @my9to5shoes I discovered… Her style is 100% wearable for the normal person (you know, you and me), practical and covetable. <3

If you’re still struggling with trying to find a Holiday Gift, I really recommend this Gift Guide from The Every Girl. It’s nicely laid out and some pieces are what I’d recommend too.

This shirt. This shirt is $130. I’m trying to figure out how and why they can charge that price because it’s like a … nothing shirt. There’s nothing there.

Men are now more likely to “marry up”, and seeing as some women are becoming major catches for having brains, beauty & high earning potential, I can see why. No one wants a scrub, male or female…

I bought these Poppin desk trays in magenta and LOVE THEM. They really brighten up the hallway, and when they all match it looks much better. I use them to store my keys when I come in, papers that I need to take care of, and so on.

My sibling, my nightmare. Those of you with nightmare siblings… relate.

I can’t stop looking at this rose gold bee watch. *tries to steel her resolve not to buy it*.. It’s just so pretty.. but the face isn’t the size I like to wear, I am into huge men-sized watches.

Copy the birds and solve major technological bullet train problems. This is an incredibly fascinating piece of technology being improved by what’s all around us — nature.

I feel like this would be an $800 mistake for any fashionista. I mean… it looks like a DIY project gone wrong.

LOVE that this CEO takes candidates to breakfast to check to see how they deal with a restaurant screwing up their order.

The perfect little lace tank to wear underneath anything.

Dating in your 30s. I feel for you, I really do… actually dating at any age though I will say I am in my 30s and I have not found it hard to find plenty of guys who are interested (NOT THAT I HAVE ENCOURAGED THEM), but the caliber of the ones who are still single in their 30s or older? That’s another story altogether. I’m very very happy I’m taken.
