“I’m Not A Woman” Video by East Indian Men

Thank you for this, East Indian men.

I-am-not-a-woman-east-indian-men-feminists-speak-out

I was going to put this in a roundup but I think it deserves its own post.

I’m not from that part of the world, but it was pretty moving, nonetheless.

I grind my teeth in rage and frustration every time I hear and read about atrocities committed against women all over the world just because they’re women. It is a horrible thing to be targeted and marginalized for something you had no control over.

Also, the guy who wears glasses doesn’t look East Indian but Chinese… Interesting.

I also wish they had captions for some of the words.

This is great. The facts about Indian vs Saudi Arabia are interesting, but also make me curious as to how they were acquired (self-identification in a survey, presumably).

The most eastern parts of North East India are actually on the border with China, so ethnically they are not too different. It’s actually quite sad that because of the similarities in their facial features people from that part of the country are treated quite negatively as “foreigners” in other parts of India (such as Delhi).

Thank you for spreading the word. I will do the same.

Amen. I feel strongly about this too.

I thought about this before… and that’s what I would do… I don’t care if I go to jail… unless this is considered self defense? 🙂
