Save. Spend. Splurge.

How does how you dress play into ambitions for yourself?

ABSOLUTELY.

I am a huge fan of power dressing. I wear what I want to feel powerful, pretty, feminine… basically to boost up my already pretty strong ego and confidence so that I don’t doubt myself at work, and I do the best job I can as a professional.

I also know that it helps my image at the office. Let’s face it, I am going to use every single thing I’ve got to make money, erotic capital included. NO SHAME in making $$$$$. I’m working all of my assets.

If someone likes working with me because I am really damn good at my job AND also attractive, I will work it to the fullest extent. Men do the same thing — have you ever wanted to work with a really good looking colleague even if you know nothing will never happen?

Yeah.

That.

You will 100000000% never ever catch me wearing a sweatshirt at the office, sweatpants, miniskirts, lowcut tops, flip flops, open-toed shoes, super spiky high heels, over the knee boots or anything that screams: casual, unprofessional / too sexy.

The most dressed-down I get is jeans at the office and a t-shirt.

The sexiest I get at the office is heels with a slim-fitted sheath or wrap dress.

All my skirts are to the knee, no miniskirts.

(She is not considered as “natural” or trustworthy with her smoky eye and red lips)

I also wear makeup because studies have proven that women who wear a bit of makeup and look ‘natural’ are treated better and considered more professional (dying my hair will probably be a thing when I start getting noticeable greys).

I am makeup-free pretty much all other times. Only tinted SPF goes on my face when I am off duty.

So what I wear to work as makeup is:

  • Foundation
  • Eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Lip balm
  • Eyebrow pencil

All of that to look “natural”…. it only takes me 10 minutes, I don’t have eyeshadow on, it looks pretty natural .. as in, like my face but WAY BETTER…. and it’s the perfect balance for work.

You will never catch me wearing leather pants or yoga pants at work either — too sexy for the office because I am a young woman.

I made the mistake ONCE of wearing my yoga gear to the studio and then coming back to change at the office. The STARES I GOT.. I never did it again.

Anyway, my whole point is I will exploit what I have got as assets to keep working and making money, but not compromise who I am.

What about you?
