Have you stolen, borrowed or adapted any dressing ideas or actual items from friends or family?

That’s kind of all I do when I meet people.

I used to appropriate a ton of clothing from my mom when I was younger, but now I kind of do my own thing.

I have of late been obsessed with the women in my partners’ families.

These women are all the epitomes of Parisienne chic and even just wearing a simple pair of studded flats, makes me crave the exact same pair and try to hunt them down.

To this day, I still remember her flats and am subconsciously searching for them, which I am sure are already in the garbage by now.

Two are in their mid-40s and they look incredible, I even remember that some of their outfits that have been burned into my brain look very similar to what a Parisienne I saw, wear:

Their sense of style is so effortless because it’s so simple and I find myself asking:

What would _______ wear? And how?

Another is in her 80s and even my partner has exclaimed:

She stopped aging 20 years ago!

… which is a great compliment. She looks incredible.

She does only wear all black which is not my thing, but she is always so elegantly coiffed & poised.

She probably wore this when she was younger:
